Hello There! I'm Rohan.
I'm a current Computer System Engineering student, Society President and a reasonably sized Voclaoid and rhythm games nerd.
Education
I'm studying an Integrated Master's in Computer Systems Engineering at the University of Warwick. Doing so has exposed me to various languages, including Python, Java and C. So far, my emphasis has been on Software Engineering, but I plan on branching out to a more engineering-focused role, such as a role in Robotics or Embedded Systems. Current projects I have undergone while at University included optimising a simulation model in C, developing a retro game lookalike using an FPGA and working with a small team to develop a traffic simulation modeller for a client.
Societies
Last year I participated as part of the executive team in the University of Warwick Computing Society (UWCS) - More specifically, I helped deliver weekly gaming events for a large cohort of Warwick students, in addition to termly, weekend-long LAN events!
More recently, I run as the current President of Warwick Vocaloid Society, a student-run society bringing all Vocaloid fans together! I'm responsible for managing the social events that are run, delegating work to the executive team and collaborating with other societies to ensure our members are as welcome and entertained as possible!
Art
I am currently in the process of learning digital art, both in the spaces of drawing and graphic design. Currently, I use Photoshop/Illustrator for learning designs, and Clip Studio Paint for my more drawing-based art. Although I cannot say I am the best at what I do just yet, I am happy to keep honing in my craft and improving my skill!
Design and Tech
In addition to learning Art, I am also currently learning both CAD software (mainly using Autodesk Fusion and Blender - although Blender isn't really a CAD software - right now) and PCB designing throughout my University career, with the intention of utilising these skills in the workplace. Designs from these may range from projects within my 3rd/4th years, to smaller items such as cosplay props.
